M1 Pacific Highway Upgrade - Kariong to Somersby

The Project
The M1 Upgrade Kariong to Somersby project is jointly funded by the NSW Government and Australian Government, and involves an upgrade of the existing M1 Pacific Motorway (formerly known as the F3 Freeway) from a point south of the existing Kariong Interchange to a point south of the Somersby Interchange. The modifications lie within the existing road corridor
Key features of the project include an additional travel lane in each direction, upgrade of entry and exit ramps, intersection upgrades, rehabilitation of existing concrete pavement and widening of existing twin bridges over Gindurra Rd.
